Rick Phillips (1978) joined Nationwide in 1999, after spending 20+ years working in communications, marketing and public relations positions for Meredith Corporation, United Way of Central Iowa, the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Federation and GuideOne Insurance. As Nationwide’s Chief Communications Officer, Phillips was responsible for leader communications, media relations and issues management, employee communications, executive positioning, and brand communications for the Fortune 100 insurance and financial services company. A long-time member of the GSJC Advisory Council, he served as vice chair (2017-2018) and chair (2018-2019). Phillips was a major visionary of the 2018 and 2019 Greenlee Summits.
