Rachel Patricia Kinley, 70, passed away on Aug. 22, 2017 at her home in West Des Moines. Pat was born Nov. 26, 2946 in Springfield, MO to Clarence and Minnie Bell Shelby. She graduated from Tech High School in Des Moines and Iowa State University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Pat worked in public relations for Apple Computer and Hewlett Packard, where she retired. She most recently co-owned Paris Flea Market in Valley Junction.
Pat is survived by her son, Jeff Kinley of West Des Moines; daughter Jennifer (Curtiss) Wright of Superior, Co; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mike Shelby; and husband, Bob Dickey.
