*Excerpts from Wilgenbusch’s nominations:*
Erin is ALWAYS accessible for her students and has been an encouraging, positive source of help for me during my time at the Greenlee School. Every time I’ve gone into her office to talk to her, she is prepared to do whatever she can to get me on the track to academic success. Multiple times, Erin has gone to bat for me when I was in a tough situation, and I always came out better because of her. While I may not be the brightest student Erin has ever advised, I can tell she genuinely respects me and wants to see me succeed as much as I do, myself! I’m proud to nominate Erin Wilgenbusch for this esteemed award.
Erin is extremely approachable and I always felt comfortable talking to her about any questions I had, whether they be about class or future plans. Whenever she gave advice she often included what worked for other students and gave examples on how to stand out on paper. Erin was very straightforward about what the public relations job market expects and provided ideas on how to accomplish their requirements. I feel I got a solid connection with Erin during my semester of taking her classes and look forward to talking to her about future internships as well as writing letters of recommendation.
Erin inspires me everyday to be better in my academic and professional career. Her door is always open when I need to speak to her and she has the best advice if I need a new class or if I am struggling with a problem. She knows what to say and do in all situations that come along and her tweets help me learn more about whats going on in PR today. She has inspired me to work hard and try new things to advance my academic and professional career and I want to thank her for that.
