2008: Everett M. Rogers

Everett M. Rogers is internationally known as the scholar who published the “Diffusion of Innovations”, which examines the process by which people adopt new ideas or products. Rogers’ studies of the communication aspects of diffusion make him one of the most frequently cited communication scholars. He received his Ph.D. from Iowa State in Sociology and Statistics in 1957. He died in October, 2004.
