Bio
Jenny Stitt McCoy is Executive Director, Communications and Community Relations for Dotdash Meredith. In that capacity, she manages corporate contributions, volunteerism, and sponsorships. She also serves as the liaison with IAC, the parent company of Dotdash Meredith, on its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) activities.
Prior to her current position, Jenny served as Executive Director of ESG for Meredith Corporation, building its inaugural ESG program. When Meredith Corporation was acquired by Dotdash in 2021, she partnered with IAC to build its ESG program — including the quantification of enterprise-wide greenhouse gas emissions. Throughout her career Jenny has worked in various Corporate Communications roles. She started at Meredith Corporation as Investor Relations Manager in 1995. Her first job after college in 1989 was in the marketing department at Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo).
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Mass Communications with minors in French and Political Science from Iowa State University, and an MBA from Drake University. She is Accredited in Public Relations (APR).
She currently co-chairs the Des Moines Downtown Development board of directors, serves on the board of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and is a board member of Iowa Sustainable Business Forum. Jenny served for many years on the United Way Education Leadership Initiative Investment Committee, is past president of the Metro Arts Alliance and Center on Sustainable Communities boards, and a past member of the Des Moines Arts Festival board. She is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute. Her passions outside of work are gardening, fostering dogs, biking, yoga and pickleball; and she owns a side hustle consulting business called Jenny Gardens.
Jenny has an adult son, Jack, who sells residential solar energy systems. She lives in Des Moines with her Border Collie rescue, Sammy.
