Bio
Andrew Schneider is the Pella News and Sports Director for KNIA/KRLS Radio in Pella, Iowa, hosting interview programs and reporting daily about the community of more than 10,000 residents and providing play-by-play and expansive coverage for Pella and Pella Christian High School athletics since April 2014.
Schneider has won several first place awards from the Iowa Broadcast News Association for sports coverage, breaking news, features, use of sound and weather reporting. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications, where he served as general manager and news director of ISUtv (now GSTV), worked as a video intern with the Cyclones Athletic Department, and collaborated with the 88.5 KURE Sports team. He also previously worked as a video editor at WHO-13 in Des Moines prior to working full-time in radio.
He lives in Pella with his wife, Karlee, and son, Aiden.
