Bio
Addie Olson is the Public Health Communications Officer for the Polk County Health Department, where she works to provide clear, accessible, and engaging public health information to all who call Polk County home. After graduating from the Greenlee School of Journalism in 2012, Addie began working in TV news as a multimedia journalist.
In addition to her experience in journalism, Addie has led government and nonprofit communications, with a focus on connecting people to resources and telling stories that inspire community action.
Addie serves on the Polk County Housing Trust Fund Marketing Committee and is currently completing the New to Public Health Residency Program through the University of Wisconsin. She also completed the Community Connect program through LeadDSM, and previously served as a board member for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
