In her own words: The summer following my graduation from Iowa State I was a multimedia intern for The Gazette in Cedar Rapids. After completing my internship I accepted a job offer from the Des Moines Register to become the associate digital editor for photo. After about a year at the Register I transitioned to being a photojournalist. I occasionally find time to do freelance work as well, most notably assisting Fox Sports’ production team during game day broadcasts of Iowa State football games in Ames.
