In her own words: Based in Ames, I am the features editor of Meredith’s *Traditional Home*, and a columnist for *The Dubuque Telegraph Herald*. A playwright, poet and fiction writer, my work includes the plays “Mothering Heights” and “First Lady Lou,” and the book *That’s Our Story and We’re Sticking to It* with Katherine Fischer.
