I have over 20 years of experience building successful and effective media organizations in the MENA region. Currently, I’m the CEO of Sowt Media, a podcast studio producing digital audio for a digital audience. We are producing the most engaging and innovative audio for the MENA region. I co-founded 7iber.com in 2007, which has since grown into the most important independent media in Jordan. Finally, I am also a member of a regional independent media network, Febrayer, from the MENA region with other leading media organizations. I was selected in 2021 as a Ford Global Fellow by the Ford Foundation and in 2025 as a John S. Knight Fellow at Stanford University. I received a B.S. from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and a M.S. from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
