Paul Kluding

Bio

Paul Kluding has more than 20 years of experience in the public relations/communications field. He currently serves as director of corporate communications for FIS, a Fortune 500 company and a global leader in financial services, with more than 62,000 employees worldwide. The company is headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla.

Previous to FIS, Paul spent 12 years as the senior director of public relations for Florida Blue, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Company of Florida, which is the largest health insurer in the state and one of the leading health care companies in the country.

Prior to joining Florida Blue, Paul served a number of public relations positions in Des Moines, Iowa. He worked as an independent strategic communications consultant for some of the area’s leading organizations, including Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) and Nelson Construction, among others.

Paul also worked as a public relations strategist for ARAG Legal Insurance, Principal Financial Group and the Krause Gentle Corporation. He got his start in public relations on the agency side of the business, working for Zimmerman, Laurent & Richardson (ZLR), as well as Creswell, Munzel, Fultz & Zirbel (CMF&Z).

Paul graduated from Iowa State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in political science. While there, Paul served as sports editor at the Iowa State Daily for two years.

Paul has been married to Melinda – a fellow Iowa State journalism program graduate – for nearly 20 years, and they have three children: Johnathan, Kaelyn and Arnold.
