Melissa is the Vice President of Content Strategy & Operations for Meredith Digital, developing editorial programs and partnerships that expand Meredith’s engagement and reach among women across media platforms. In this role, Melissa is responsible for setting the overarching content strategy across the Meredith portfolio of lifestyle sites, and oversees the execution of that strategy by editorial teams across the country, including Seattle, New York, Des Moines and Birmingham.
Melissa joined Meredith in 2001. Prior to her current role, she served as a content, product and business lead on multiple Meredith brands, including BHG.com, Shape.com and Parents.com. She began her career at Meredith as a print editor for multiple titles in the enthusiast category as part of Meredith’s Special Interest Media group.
Melissa is a graduate of Westminster College, earning a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. She is based in Des Moines, where she resides with her husband, Jeff, and two children.
