Jenny Stitt McCoy

Bio

Jenny Stitt McCoy is Executive Director, Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) for Meredith Corporation. In that capacity, she directs the company’s ESG activities with emphasis on communicating Meredith's approach to ESG through the company's website (Meredith.com/ESG) and other platforms; managing disclosures for current investors and prospects, addressing advertiser inquiries, supporting salespeople with RFPs, and responding to inquiries from key audiences.

Jenny collaborates with an Environmental Leadership Group and Employee Ambassador Committee to enact environmental activities with a focus on tracking and results. She works with the Meredith Corporation Foundation Board and contributions committee to manage charitable donations, and represents the company related to sponsorships and community involvement. Jenny also partners with Meredith’s VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on program development, communications and disclosures.

Prior to her current position, Jenny served in various Corporate Communications roles, including Director, from 2002 through 2020. She started at Meredith as Investor Relations Manager in 1995. Her first job after college in 1989 was in the marketing department at Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo).

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Mass Communications with minors in French and Political Science from Iowa State University, and an MBA from Drake University. She is Accredited in Public Relations (APR).

She volunteers for United Way of Central Iowa Education Leadership Initiative Investment committee. She is on the Board of Downtown DSM, a member of the Downtown DSM Events Committee, a volunteer for the DSM Book Festival, and a board member of Iowa Sustainable Business Forum. Jenny is past president of the Metro Arts Alliance and Center on Sustainable Communities Boards of Directors, and a past member of the Des Moines Arts Festival Board of Directors. She is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute. Her passions outside of work are gardening and fostering Border Collies.

Jenny has a 22-year-old son, Jack, who sells residential solar energy systems. She lives in Des Moines with her Border Collie rescue, Sammy.
