Gladys Nortey

Bio

Gladys Nortey received her BS (‘95) and MS (‘98) degrees from Iowa State University’s Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She was a student-athlete on the ISU Women’s Track & Field team from 1991-1996. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and certified Scrum Master (CSM), Gladys has over 15 years of experience in a variety of marketing disciplines including digital marketing, branding, and product marketing. She’s employed those skills as a results-driven leader at several Silicon Valley technology companies including: Canal+ Technologies, Altera, Vocera Communications, Nice Advertising, SchoolMessenger, Datafinity Group/Adobe and Yahoo! From 2009-2010, Gladys was an adjunct professor of Advertising at San Jose State University. She led her students to win the 12-second national TV/online commercial for the PepsiCo Dewmocracy campaign: WhiteOut in 2010. She enjoys inspiring creativity and innovation! Nortey also served on the American Advertising Federation board (AAF) National Mosaic Council in 2007-2009, judged several local ADDY award shows, and was the president of the AAF Silicon Valley chapter from 2008-2010. She volunteers for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), Hamilton Family Services, and mentors in her free time.
